How do I make a reservation at Craig's RV Park?

You can reserve your site through our online reservation system or by calling us directly at 863 494-1820.

We recommend booking in advance, especially for winter season stays from November through April — we fill up fast and for good reason.

How much does it cost to stay at Craig's RV Park?

Rates vary depending on the time of year and length of stay. We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Monthly rates offer the best value for snowbirds and extended winter stays. Visit our Rate Page for More info or contact us

Is Craig's RV Park an adults-only or 55+ community?

While Craig's RV Park is primarily a 55+ community, meaning at least one resident or registered guest per site must be 55 or older.

Families and Younger guests, including children, are welcome to visit and stay for up to two weeks at a time. We love when the grandkids come to visit — and with Solomon's Castle nearby, they’ll have plenty to keep them busy.

Do you require a deposit to hold a reservation?

Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your reservation. We’ll walk you through the details when you book.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please contact us directly for our current cancellation policy. We understand that travel plans change and will do our best to work with you.

Do you offer discounts for extended stays or seasonal residents?

Yes. Monthly rates are significantly more economical than nightly or weekly rates. If you’re planning a long winter stay, ask us about our seasonal options when you call.

What hookups are available at Craig's RV Park?

Our RV sites include full hookups — water, sewer, and electric service. We offer both 30-amp and 50-amp electric connections to accommodate a wide range of RVs.

Where is Craig's RV Park located?

We’re in Arcadia, Florida — Near the Peace River Recreational area. Arcadia sits a short drive away from an endless list of outdoor recreation, including canoeing, kayaking, airboat tours, fishing, and golfing, all set against the backdrop of Old Florida cattle country. What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 1PM Eastern

Check-out is 11AM.

Are pets allowed at Craig's RV Park?

We Love Pets! Well-behaved pets are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times when outside your unit, and they may not be left unattended outdoors. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Certain dog breeds are restricted See our Resort Rules page for more info.

Is there a pet fee?

There is no Pet Fee but we limit pets to 2 per site.

Can my grandchildren stay with me for an extended visit?

Absolutely. Children are welcome to stay with you for up to two weeks.

Are guests allowed to visit residents?

Yes. Guests are welcome to visit. All visitors must check in at the office, and we ask that visitor vehicles be off the property during quiet hours.

Do you allow open fires or fire pits?

Open fires are subject to local fire ordinances and park rules. Contact us for the current policy — Florida’s fire conditions change seasonally.

Park Fees

Lot fees as well as cable and propane bills are due on the first of each month. If not paid by the 10th of each month a $50.00 late fee will be added to your bill. Electric is also due on the first of each month and is always a month behind and read on the 15th of every month.

Recieveing Mail

Every site has a mailbox matching the lot number in the Rec Hall, for larger packages we hold them in the Office.

Is Craig's RV Park a good base for exploring Central Florida?

Arcadia's central spot in DeSoto County puts you within easy striking distance of both coasts — Gulf beaches, Sarasota, and Port Charlotte are all comfortable day trips, and Orlando's attractions and international airports aren't far either. You get small-town pace and prices without giving up access to everything Florida has to offer.

What's nearby in DeSoto County and the surrounding area?

Downtown Arcadia is famous for its historic antique district, rebuilt in brick after a 1905 fire, with dozens of shops, cafes, and a monthly street vendor market on the fourth Saturday. Outdoors, the Peace River offers paddling and fossil hunting, and the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo — the oldest rodeo in Florida — along with the DeSoto County Fair each February, showcase the area's cowboy heritage.

Is Craig's RV Park a good fit for full-time RV living?

Absolutely. With full hookups (water, electric, sewer, cable), on-site laundry, mail service, and a genuinely active social community, many of our residents treat Craig's as their winter home base — and some stay year-round.

Do you have mobile homes available for rent or purchase at Hammondell Campsites?

What's the story behind the Heartland/Southwest Bluegrass Association gatherings?

Each month on the 4th Saturday, the Heartland/Southwest Bluegrass Association holds its weekend gathering right here at the park, bringing in musicians and bluegrass fans from across the region. Between that and Arcadia's own monthly Bluegrass Jams downtown, it's become a real draw for pickers and listeners alike.

What's the weather like in Arcadia, FL during the winter?

Winters here are mild and sunny, with daytime highs typically in the upper 60s to low 70s and cooler nights in the low 50s. It's warm enough to spend most days outdoors without the summer humidity, which is exactly why so many of our snowbirds keep coming back year after year.

Is there a clubhouse or community space?

We’re proud to have a welcoming, social atmosphere at Craig's. There is a clubhouse with a card tables, Puzzle stations and community library. We Host weekly activities. as well as Pool tables maintained by our Pool Club. We Also have a Rec Hall that hosts concerts in the summer and even the occasional Church Service,
